- 以絕美的女高音創下超過1500萬張專輯銷售紀錄的莎拉.布萊曼，即將推出最新專輯《Harem一千零一夜》。「Harem」是以中東傳說為基底所編織而成的一次音樂奇想之旅，這張專輯可能是莎拉布萊曼到目前為止最獨特且最具個人特色的作品，不但展現了她在作曲方面的才華，她充滿熱情的創意構思以及舉世無雙的天籟歌聲也都在其中淋漓盡致地呈現出來。「Harem」專輯將由Angel 唱片在5月發行。
「在『Harem』專輯中，我希望能夠營造出一些中東的味道，加強節奏感。」莎拉表示，「我對於一些描述阿拉伯景致的電影，像是「阿拉伯之夜」或是「阿拉伯的勞倫斯」等片中所呈現出來的廣袤沙漠、無垠空間以及那種平和與充滿靈性的感覺十分著迷，這本來是我創作這張新專輯的出發點，但當我沉浸在土耳其以及中東音樂裡－尤其是最近中東地區新創作的舞曲－之後，我對這張新專輯的整體概念才成型。我希望能夠透過音樂表現出影像的感覺，這些音樂與靈感為我搭建出一個可以充分發揮創意的巨幅空間架構。」
參與這張專輯演奏的音樂家來自世界各地，甚至還有遠從布拉格以及開羅等地請來的管絃樂演奏家。這次為莎拉跨刀的樂手均為一時之選，從古典樂小提琴手的天王巨星甘迺迪（Nigel Kennedy）到中東最受矚目的重量級歌手之一卡珊艾爾撒希爾（Kazem al-Sahir）…等等，都加入了演出陣容。專輯由法蘭克彼得生（Frank Peterson）製作，編曲則交由與中東樂手有過豐富合作經驗的前Killing Joke樂團主唱/鍵盤手賈斯高曼（Jaz Colman）負責。
專輯同名標題曲 Harem勾勒出了整張專輯的情境與想像空間，這首歌曲在中東音樂與葡萄牙的民謠思鄉曲（Fado）之間，搭建起根基深厚的音樂橋樑。
曲名即明顯反映出歌曲意義的The War Is Over傳遞出要以愛解決衝突的訊息，莎拉布萊曼與伊拉克歌手卡珊艾爾撒希爾的歌聲在甘迺迪悠揚的小提琴聲伴隨中，精巧而感人地融合在一起。甘迺迪同時也在另一首歌曲Free裡擔綱演出，這首歌曲的靈感來自於一首法國抒情詩，熱愛自由的意念迴盪於整首歌曲間，這同時也是整張專輯的核心概念。
