偽裝者合唱團（英語：Pretenders），是於1978年於英國赫里福德成立的搖滾樂隊。樂隊初時成員包括有Chrissie Hynde（主唱，節奏吉他手）、James Honeyman-Scott（主音吉他手，伴唱）、Pete Farndon（低音吉他手，伴唱）、Martin Chambers（鼓手，伴唱）。

樂隊成立初期（1978 - 1982）

對來自俄亥俄州的奇女子Chrissie Hynde來說,叛逆就是一種堅持,難以馴服的搖滾態度,當個反皮衣服飾的行動派,作個追求自然的素食主義者,Chrissie在肯特州立大學唸了三年,就在74年隻身前往倫敦追逐搖滾生活,以幫NME雜誌撰寫樂評起頭,週遊法、美、英等國玩團,76年原本打算邀The Clash樂團的Mike Jones組團,78年,Chrissie與貝斯手Pete Farndon、吉他手James Honeyman-Scott、鼓手Martin Chambers組成The Pretenders,79年以一首The Kinks樂團團員Ray Davis所寫的'Stop Your Sobbing'闖進英國金榜前30名,接以'Kid'乘勝追擊,巡迴演唱處處都是爆滿人潮。

80年與Chris Thomas（Tears For Fears製作人）合作首張專輯「The Pretenders」,Chrissie不加修飾的剛強情感嗓音正式引爆風潮,專輯坐上英國榜第9,單曲'Brass In Pocket'勇冠英國金榜冠軍,'Talk Of The Town'拿下前10,就在80年,The Pretenders的綻放的新搖滾神采席捲美國,81年第2張專輯「The Pretenders II」著以80年代初的英倫新浪潮顏色,Ray Davis執筆的64年作品'I Go To Sleep'攀上英國金榜第7名,而Chrissie與Davis公開出雙入對意成為媒體焦點, 82年6月,Pete Farndon因藥癮問題遭離團剔除, James Honeyman-Scott又因吸食海洛因與古柯鹼過量身亡,事隔一年,Farndon也被毒癮送上鬼門關,排山倒海的命運考驗並未淹沒Chrissie與Chambers繼續在音樂路上走下去的念頭,83年邀來Robbie McIntosh與Malcolm Foster分任主吉他手、貝斯手重新整裝出擊,先以一首洋溢聖誕假期感覺作品'200 Miles'佔據前20名,悼念已逝團員Honeyman-Scott的單曲'Back On The Chain Gang'與專輯「Learning To Crawl」戮力並肩攻上全美排行第5名,除了Top 20單曲'Middle Of The Road'、'Show Me'外,'Thin Line Between Love And Hate'也成為招牌作。

84年與Simple Minds主唱Jim Kerr有一段閃電但也短暫的婚姻,85年與雷鬼團UB40合作改唱Sonny & Cher經典'I Got You Babe'跳登冠軍榜,86年, Foster、Chambers掛冠求去,專輯「Get Close」改由前Haircut 100樂團鼓手Blair Cunningham、鍵盤手Bernie Worrell、貝斯手T.M. Stevens入主,這張由80年代末期創辦Interscope音樂廠牌的音樂沙場老將Jimmy Iovine操刀掌舵的專輯,締創全美Top 10單曲'Don’t Get Me Wrong'與英國金榜Top 10'Hymn To Her',樂團的人事波此時再度浮上檯面,Worrell、Steven遭除名,McIntosh跑去加入Paul McCartney的行列, Foster重回陣營,88年, Chrissie與UB40於聲援曼德拉的演唱會上二度合唱'Breakfast In Bed'再添Top 10成績,90年專輯「Packed!」再掀風雲,94年, Chambers歸隊,外加前Primitives樂團的貝斯手Andy Hobson與Katydids樂團的Adam Seymour合作專輯「Last Of The Independence」,抒情榜冠軍佳作'I’ll Stand By You'展現真摯情懷,95年,Chrissie與Cher、Eric Clapton、Neneh Cherry合唱英國金榜冠軍曲'Love Can Build A Bridge',同年推出與弦樂四重奏合作的專輯「Isle Of View」,99年專輯「!Viva El Amor!」依然聽見這位奇女子的搖滾激情。曾有四張專輯榮獲滾石雜誌四顆星激賞的The Pretenders所象徵的搖滾精神絕對是不容磨滅!!
