Vonda Shepard considers this album to be one of her best pieces of work.

'Maryland' is one of Vonda's favorite songs and it recalls her childhood memories of her mother speaking wistfully of Maryland. A remake of the song also appears on 'Songs From Ally McBeal.'

'Serious Richard' is another song that was featured on a television show (a 'Party of Five' episode titled 'Parent Trap' originally broadcast on January 14, 1998. )
